Negligence, In Real Terms
In legal terms, negligence deals with the idea that actors (individuals, businesses, government entities) have a duty to exercise reasonable care in their actions so as not to harm others. And when that duty is breached, when an actor acts recklessly or carelessly or wrongfully and someone else is harmed as a result — negligence is said to have occurred.
In real terms, for victims of negligence, it means something else. It means one moment your life is normal and the next…up is down, right is left and where you go from here in order to get back to some semblance of a normal life is an absolute mystery.

Wrongful Death Claims
Under New Jersey's wrongful death statute, an individual has two years from the date of a person’s death in which to file a complaint in court. After the two years it is too late to file a complaint in Court in New Jersey. The measure of damages in a wrongful death case is pecuniary loss to those individuals related and dependant upon the decedent. Examples would be wage earners, housewives, husbands and children with the potential to care for their parent’s in their parents later years.
