Larry L. Leifer
Larry
L. Leifer for the last 35 years has been a leader in
representing persons who have been the victims of
mistakes made by medical personnel both in and out of
hospitals, as well as victims of faulty or wrongfully
prescribed drugs. In recognition of his efforts, which
have resulted in the recovery of millions of dollars for
his many clients, Larry has been chosen by his peers as
a “Super Lawyer”; and has also been elected to serve a
term as the Chair of the Certified Trial Lawyers section
of the New Jersey Bar Association. In addition, Larry
has represented the Certified Trial Section in
interviews by various business and professional
publications such as NJBIZ, and The Star Ledger, New
Jersey’s leading newspaper. He is also a member of the
Association of Trial Lawyers of America - NJ, of which
he serves on the Board of Governors. In addition to
being a member of the Bar in New Jersey and Florida,
Larry is a member of the Bar of the United States
Supreme Court, and is Rated A.V. in Martindale Hubbell’s
National Law Directory. He is also listed by Martindale
as a Preeminent Medical Malpractice Trial Lawyer, and is
a Sustaining Member of the American Trial Lawyers
Association.
Larry has tried to verdict more than 100 medical
malpractice cases in addition to many product liability
and personal injury cases which have relied on his
scientific and pharmacologic background. He has played a
part in putting back together the lives of many families
which have been torn apart by medical mistakes, by
obtaining for them the funds needed to go on with their
lives. These include a $4 million benefit to the husband
and children survivors of a mother and wife who was
killed by a doctor-administered overdose of
chemotherapy; a recovery of nearly $4 million for a
woman who suffered, and eventually died, from a botched
tracheotomy; and a settlement for hundreds of thousands
of dollars for a man who suffered from a partial penile
amputation as the result of a delay in the diagnosis of
cancer.
These are the kinds of cases that Larry has devoted his
life to, for the benefit of the families he serves. |
